INTRODUCTION

Who we are

Since the launch of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Law No. (13) of the year 2012 by the government of Jordan, Daehan wind power company was established in 2013. Daehan Wind Power Company developed the Daehan wind farm in Tafilah governorate through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and through the second round of the direct proposal stage, with a total capacity of 51.75 MW.

The company signed the power purchase agreement (PPA) with the National Electric Power Company in 2016.

Environmental

Daehan Wind Power Company has carried out a comprehensive study to assess the environmental and social impact of the project on the environment and the local community (ESIA), in compliance with the environmental laws and regulations applied locally and internationally.

The ESIA study included several consultation sessions with representatives of local communities and stakeholders, where the study aimed to assess all possible impacts at an early stage and to find appropriate remedial solutions for each impact in a way that ensures mitigating it or making it a neglected effect.

A Leading Supplier Of Wind Turbines Services.

This document constitutes a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) to be implemented by the Developer throughout the operation phase for the Project. The SEP outlines a systematic approach to stakeholder engagement that will help the Developer build and maintain over time a constructive relationship with their stakeholders, in particular the locally affected communities. The SEP is a live document which will be updated throughout the Project operation and implementation.
