Korea Southern Power Completes 51MW Wind Farm in Jordan

Korea Southern Power announced on Sept. 8 that it held a completion ceremony for a wind power plant in Amman, Jordan, on Sept. 7 (local time).

Korea Southern Power and DL Energy invested a total of 120 billion won, 50 percent each, to build and operate 15 3.45-MW wind power generators in Tafila, Jordan.

Korea Southern Power expected to generate a total of 360 billion won in sales by selling electricity to Jordan’s power authority Nationl Electric Power Co. (NEPCO) for 20 years after its completion.

Korea Southern Power will supply clean energy to 50,000 households in Tafila, Jordan, through the operation of the wind power plant. About 40 local employees will be hired for power plant maintenance, logistics, and security.
